General Information about The "2021 Curtis Cup which takes place on the 26th,27th & 28th August :-

The Curtis Cup is the most prestigious team trophy for women amateur golfers and contested biennially by teams representing Great Britain and Ireland and the United States.

Many well-known stars of the game have played in the event, including Solheim Cup captain Catriona Matthew, Dame Laura Davies and Women’s British Open champion Georgia Hall.

First played in 1932, the match is organised by The R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA). Please visit the official Curtis Cup website.

The Curtis Cup is a match play event between players selected to represent Great Britain and Ireland, and the Unites States.

The event is competed for over three days with 20 points on offer. The winner of each match scores a point for their team, with ½ point for any match that is tied after 18 holes.

On each of the first two days three foursomes and three fourball matches are played.

On the final day, the match takes the form of eight singles matches. If the match is tied at the end of play the previous holders of the trophy retain the Curtis Cup.
